A little while ago, Embarcadero announced the purchase of AnyDAC, for future integration with Delphi (and C++Builder). Today, the first result of this acquisition is announced: FireDAC - multi-device data access for Delphi, C++Builder and RAD Studio.
The best news is that FireDAC is free for Delphi, C++Builder or RAD Studio XE3 Enterprise users. After you've installed and registered your copy of XE3 Enterprise, go to http://cc.embarcadero.com/item/29318 and download your free copy of FireDAC.
Users of the Professional edition can purchase FireDAC from their local Delphi reseller (including subscription if you want to get access to upgrades and incident support). A special offer is available for people who currently own the XE2 Client/Server Pack or AnyDAC.
